HOW WE STARTED OUR JOURNEY

Association for Welfare, Social Action and Research India (AWSAR) is an outcome of the efforts of the Professional Social Workers. AWSAR in hindi means opportunity and its moto is to create opportunities for development as well as develop capacities of individual to help the recognise and grasp opportunities. The founders of AWSAR believed that getting opportunity is the key to upliftment and development of any individual. In 2001, AWSAR started working with a few students of Department of Social Work, University of Delhi in nearby areas. However, it got registered itself as a society in the year 2002 to get a legal identity for the work as well as for the organisation and to mobilise support and resources in order to work more efficiently. .
